A Vietnamese woman visiting an American city had a road accident recently, when motorhome hit the back of her car. No one was hurt. She got out of the car. A policeman and some other people came to look at the accident. She was confused and said to them in English, ‘I’m sorry, very sorry’. It was formal for her to say that, but it was not the right thing to say in that situation because she said she was sorry, the insurance company said the accident was her fault. She had to pay for the repairs.
